Thread Stands

A thread stand is a device designed to hold and dispense thread during sewing and allows your thread to easily glide onto your sewing machine to prevent tangles.

These stands are specifically designed to accommodate different types and sizes of thread spools. It is typically made of metal and plastic and consists of a heavy base with a vertical rod going up. The rod has a hook at the end of it. 

It is particularly useful when

  • your spool is too big for your machine's spool holder
  • using difficult to manage thread like metallic or mono-filament
  • your spool is not feeding into your machine smoothly
  • using straight-wound thread spools.
